CB Microphone wired to Phono Plug?
I have an old Shure 100 series CB microphone to use for recording and am having problems. There are four child, of which two are for the PT and is not necessary to use so I have two children, heat 1 1 and the ground, I guess. I plug RCA cable, but only works if I contact with the microphone element. but it seems to me as a reason. Results of the test case, which is metal. You did not say whether they were recorded on a computer or audio equipment. According to the pdf, that Mike has a microphone element carbon granules, that is commonly used in old radio phones and more equipment. They need a pre-amp for most applications – a sound card in your computer has preamp built in. However, the microphone carbon requires external power to it, a bit like an electret, and its output voltage is a significant percentage of the input voltage (yes, if you put 5 volts into Microphone, carbon output will be approximately 5 volts maximum). This means that the microphone is used CB needs an external power source and its signal will be much higher than the average microphone. Review this Article Guy.
