Are Mac laptop’s the best for recording/mixing/editing music?
I want to make high quality music at home, but I need a good laptop that will work well with recording my music, and give it a professional sound (yes I know that you need good quality mic’s and recording tools as well) Any opinions on Mac?? Thanksss
If you’re settled on a laptop, then yes I would definitely go with a Mac over a Windows based one. I don’t know about Garage Band, but a lot of the other good audio mixing applications out there are for the Mac. Sure there are ones for the PC, but more pros use the ones for the Mac (at least the guys that mix all of our TV series are a on a Mac).
But at the end of the day, its more about the artist learning how to get the best out of the tools they have. So you can make equally quality compositions on a Windows PC as you could on a Mac. You might just have to dig harder for a good application or for help using it. But that doesn’t mean your final product won’t be top notch.
