How much power can be drawn from a light switch.?
I'm in the process of mounting a LCD TV and its components, such as game console, DVD player, and others. The components will be on a floating gate ave the center of the wall, the only source of energy is the light switch maybe three feet away that controls a ceiling fan. My question is, I'd be able to pull the safety switch and connect the TV and components without loading the circuit.
NO …. NO! … Noooooo !!!!!!!!! OMG NO. give up this idea before … 90% of the switches only "HOT" broken leg and light food, with the light and nuetral ground. Even if you do, by chance, a complete food, nuetral and ground wire connected to your switch, your request is totally against the NEC (National Electric Code)
