How to DJ with MP3s.?
I want to learn to be a DJ, but want to do it with MP3s. I want actual turntables, not tiny little circles in a MIDI controlled surface. How would I be able to do this? Can i buy 2 turntables, a mixer and connect it to a RANE serato box? and just use that with scratch live? Let me know what i should do. Thanks in advance.
Yes, yes, yes. Buy turntables (Technics preferred), a mixer (simple, but with eq kills on each channel <$200), and the Serato Scratch Live system. Scratch Live is what the real pros use. It won't do the work for you like those kiddie systems do, but you'll be a real DJ.
Serato does make it easier to learn, though, than spinning old school vinyl. It does help you a little bit, but you still need to spin for real.
