Is it possible to make a laptop out of a macbook case?
I want the style of a macbook, but not the hefty overpricing (thanks apple 
). Is it possible take the casing of a macbook, and put the guts of a non-apple laptop in it?
I have MacBook Pro and not sure I agree with the over priced-but then again, maybe that’s why I ought it after returning three high powered Vista computers. That said, your question is interesting. The casing on the MB is plastic and easily scratched and they come in a variety of sizes. Other computers have the same size base and screen. Macs are generally slightly thinner and lighter. As long as the motherboard fit, you can. I see nothing stopping you. Most people do not have the skill to make a laptop and pack it right. The most screwed up thing about Mac Laptops is so into the way things look, it creates serious engineer problems. For instance, the guy is so obsessed with the way the bottom of the computer, there is no doors on the bottom of the computer to easily remove your computer. Another story. The answer is yes, but also remember you have to get all the drivers and get the right screens. No reason why you can’t get the parts you want and make it work
