Mixer Combo Case
Cubase or Pro Tools? Home Studio doubt …?

Hey! I am preparing a recording studio at home, and I have to choose the right software. Should I go to Pro Tools or Cubase? Now, I have difficulty understanding the new programs, but do not want to become a Professional Mixer, etc. I just want to make good recordings supperior with sound quality. How do I use? Now, I saw two and Digidesign Mbox comes with Pro Tools LE, all for $ 250, but I have heard of M audio hardware too. What should I do if I get a list [of software and hardware down]? After that, I need a good sound card as well, or connect the hardware through USB saves me time as to buy a sound card? In general … What is the best combination of hardware [which is the name for this?] And software a home recording studio intelligent person? THANK YOU!

Pro Tools and Cubase are both amazing software for recording, mixing and mastering. I'll tell you now that'll win by buying one or other of the two. Pro Tools really shines when you have the money for all plug-ins and high-end equipment that can Pro Tools really push the limit. Cubase product quality is not much money and do not need expensive equipment. But Pro Tools is always surprising tricks very low. I can use. All recording software are very similar to the provision. So once you learn one, you can go through the other very quickly too. However, for functions basic tracks as creating, editing and recording both work very similar software. As for the sound card …. Do not lose money on it. Positive Side a sound card is that you can buy a card and Creative Audigy sound card and Cubase LE. And you can have a good sound card with software under $ 275. But direct sound and playing are not good. Do you have a PA system, monitors? If you do, then you will be running Cubase through an Audigy. If not, then you have to run the sound through some kind of receiver or computer speakers and sound cards are not built for sound. They look good, but just do not have thickness creates live sound. I recommend getting the Mbox 2 Pro Tools package. Do not buy the factory package. It's a waste of money. Play with Default Effects and decide the one you like, then buy more effect plug-in or whatever you want. If you get some Mbox 2 can not buy a new sound card, as Pro Tools from your sound card. You must use the outputs of the Mbox in order to obtain a sound input and playback. It is very important. So if you do not have a sound system or the monitor screen, then it is better to buy the Audigy 4 with Cubase LE and run your sound through a stereo receiver or personal computer speakers. If you have a PA system or Montiors then definitely go with Pro Tools and Mbox 2. And do not buy a new sound card. Hope this helps. Good luck.
